“AI Governance” to me is like trying to stop a dam with rocks. You can’t govern it because they’re already our rulers. Think of the huge legislations that used to take months or even years to write and can now be done within days thanks to LLMs. The machines already won, it’s too late.
Yeah, I can empathize. But like they say, if we go down, we go down fighting. 😉
Nonetheless, governments and organizations are scrambling to change the narrative. EU, for one, is pursuing AI and data sovereignty. Elon Musk, with all his posturing, often caves in to pressure from regulators.
If we look at the GDPR, it's an example of how governance and regulation can help shape the tech landscape.
The effort to “regulate” AI is all theater to me but I don’t want to sound too antagonistic so I digress. Still subscribed to your podcast because I’m still interested in what you have to say even if I’m too blackpilled on the topic.
I admit as with anything that involves huge organizations, most of it is theater, but again, we push forward despite that. I’m not in a position (yet) to actually influence any policy-making, but you never know what the future brings.
My primary focus with the podcast is to raise awareness that, hey, you shouldn’t be accepting AI without question. People need to recognize when they’re being manipulated or misled or harmed by algorithms, learn about our rights, exercise responsible usage, and to not accept Tech CEO narratives as truth without examining their motivations and agenda.

All is not lost, my friend, but all in due time.

Oh thanks!

Anyway, glad to have you onboard.
